The packaging industry is coming up with newer packaging trends and technologies for specific products to suit the requirements and convenience of consumers and retailers.

A VFFS bagger machine with “shaker” software has been introduced to package fresh produce. It packs products such as single-serve salads and kits, popular items in the consumer convenience market.

Packaging Automation was asked by Rovipack Packaging Solutions to help develop a sealing solution to meet demands from retailers. The new dome style pack is for the whole chicken market and prevents liquids from escaping, which may contaminate surfaces and other products.

New England Machinery says that its latest NEHSC single headed capper has been designed specifically for manufacturers wanting to sell their products in larger containers. This new capping technology can accommodate the food and beverage industry's demand for larger bottles and cartons.
