Additional cover opening with screw cap simplifies the blending of colours

Everywhere that containers of white paint need to be tinted – whether at the paint supplier or in the hardware store – a practical new development from Jokey now makes the process easier and cleaner to handle.  An additional five-centimetre opening dubbed a "tint plug" in the cover can be conveniently unscrewed to add the blending colour at the tinting station. The container can then be simply reclosed and its contents can be mixed on the shaker. Jokey’s innovation is the first tint plug for plastic containers on the market.

Up until now, the entire lid had to be removed for tinting. This takes time, however, and also carries the risk of spilled paint or a failure to reclose the container properly.  This additional opening makes the tinting process considerably safer and more efficient – an advantage above all for fillers who add tint to large quantities of containers on a regular basis.

The Jokey tint plug features a particularly robust design. The opening with the threaded cap is part of a plastic insert that is securely welded to the cover by means of an ultrasonic process, and is absolutely leak proof. Additional security is provided by a tamper-evident seal with tear strip and pull off ring. The position of the cover insert assembly is variable and can be arranged according to individual customer need. It can be welded both in the middle and near the edge of the cover.
