Presentation to Discuss Latest Trends Affecting Flexible Packaging.
Robert E. Hogan, Director of International Sales and Marketing for Zip-Pak, will discuss the next generation of value-added resealable components at the 2008 Global Pouch Forum in Oak Brook, IL on Thursday, May 8 at 8:30 pm at the Oak Brook Hills Marriott. The presentation, entitled “Terminal Shelf Velocity: Why the Next Generation of Reclosures Could Be Brand-owners’ Ultimate Value-add Component,” will highlight packaging prototypes that will help brands managers meet and address evolving trends and consumer preferences.
During the presentation, Hogan will highlight recent trends affecting flexible resealable packaging that play a significant role in the development of new packaging technologies. These trends include the slowing economy, the increase of bulk purchases, the continued growth of the organic market, and the buying power of senior citizens. Hogan will introduce the next generation of value-added resealable technologies to directly address these trends.
“Packaging features that provide additional value, such as convenience, enhanced freshness or shelf differentiation, are ways to preserve and even encourage consumer brand preference in slowing economies, says Hogan. “Thinking about new and innovative ways to connect with the consumer, and enhance their experience with a product will keep brand managers one step ahead of the curve.”
