- Weighs up to 60,000 tablets per hour - Controls non-stackable tablets - Retrofittable on all Bosch capsule control units
At Achema 2006 Bosch Pharma Solid introduces a tablet weighing module for Bosch KKE control systems that can handle even difficult tablet shapes.
Commercially available tablet presses produce up to 1.5 million tablets per hour. Bosch presents the first tablet control system that can control the tablet weight while performing at the same speed. In order to increase production reliability, the new tablet weighing module for the Bosch KKE control systems makes it possible, for instance, to immediately reweigh production pieces with weight irregularities. This minimizes tablet rejects and improves production efficiency.
Production pieces are accurately resorted at a rate of up to 60,000 tablets per hour and established tablet loading systems from blister production are used to transport the tablets safely to the weighing unit. Almost any tablet shapes can be weighed. To demonstrate the performance capabilities of the tablet weighing unit, non-stackable triangular tablets will be weighed on the KKE 2500 exhibited at Achema.
The permanent forced feed of the tablets during the weighing and ejection process makes product admixture impossible. This is a key advantage for the reliable production of pharmaceutical products.
The tablet loading system is affixed to a separate base frame and can be docked onto the KKE easily by hand requiring no tools. Production data are collected by the user-friendly integrated software. For quality assurance, the data can either be saved to DVD or transferred to higher-level computer systems.
The short changeover times from tablet to capsule weighing make the KKE a flexible and efficient control system. The tablet weighing unit can also be retrofitted for existing Bosch capsule control systems.
