Unless you fully explore a manufacturer’s process, the role National plays is not always readily apparent. The function of a National product in finished goods can be as subtle as the smooth texture of a cream pie or as substantial as adhesives that hold a garage door together. The product can be as obvious as the visible lines of glue that seal a shipping case or as delicate as the silky feel of hand cream. Adhesives for Labelling
Clear-Lok Labelling Adhesive Clear LOK Wet Labelling CLEAR-LOK is an innovative adhesive solution for clear plastic labelling using existing wet labelling machinery. CLEAR-LOK has proven performance on many types of transparent labelling material, and proven performance on existing wet labelling machines using cut and stack labels. The adhesive film gives excellent clarity behind the label, maximising the impact of the brand on the consumer. The drying performance of CLEAR-LOK has been proven with many label and bottle combinations. A strong bond is maintained whilst the adhesive is drying, meaning the label is immediately secure off the line and continues to strengthen until fully dry. Bottles labelled using CLEAR-LOK adhesive can also achieve up to five days Ice Water Resistance (IWR) and can be recycled and cleaned through a caustic wash. Contour Roll-Fed Shrink Labelling Adhesive Roll-fed Shrink Labelling The CONTOUR hot melt system enables shrink labelling of curved containers using existing roll-fed machines, at high speeds and low cost. Many film label stocks can be used to achieve the required appearance and shrinkage. The CONTOUR system has the required heat-stress resistance to ensure a strong bond. The CONTOUR adhesive forms a secure bond at the seam, and will not flag or creep during labelling and shrinking. The new system allows for increased line speeds compared with those associated with conventional shrink sleeve labelling.

Adhesives for Package Sealing
EASY-PAC™ - AN IRRESISTIBLE OFFER FOR BEST IN INDUSTRY PACKAGE SEALING! National Adhesives launches EASY-PAC to the global packaging market. EASY-PAC is a completely new package sealing solution that will save you time and money. In today’s business and manufacturing environment, the over-riding task is to achieve more with less resource. The challenge of running your production lines more efficiently and at a lower cost is a tough one to achieve. The answer is EASY-PAC, the complete package sealing solution that will improve your packaging productivity, while reducing downtime, maintenance and overall cost in use. EASY-PAC is the all-in-one, hassle-free solution that maximizes uptime for packaging professionals who demand world-class efficiencies. EASY-PAC is a turnkey adhesive dispensing package that includes everything you need to revolutionize the way you currently seal cases and cartons: • char-fee 90/100°C hot melt adhesive• hot melt application unit with a three-year warranty – the longest in the industry!• integrated hot melt vacuum feed system• hot melt storage bin• new nozzles, hoses, filters and modules• three year replacement parts guarantee program Eliminate the primary cause of downtime EASY-PAC has been designed to eliminate the causes of downtime that slow down production and delay your delivery schedules. The biggest cause of this downtime is adhesive char. This is the substance produced by overheated hot melt or outside contaminants in the melt unit or hoses that will clog filters, hoses and nozzles and bring your operation to a standstill. With the new EASY-PAC package sealing solution, char is eliminated. The EASY-PAC hot melt provides full case and carton sealing functionality at the lowest application temperature on the market; 90°C. At this low temperature, char does not form. The integrated Autofill vacuum feeder eliminates the need to open the hot melt tank, so char-producing contaminants cannot enter the system. You do not have to stop your line to replace nozzles and hoses, so you save on parts, labor and downtime because EASY-PAC does not produce char. Who benefits from EASY-PAC? If what you are producing is packaged in a case or carton, then EASY-PAC may be right for you. It is the best package sealing system for plant managers and production supervisors who are: • focused on improving production efficiencies and uptime• under increased pressure to maximize output at lowest cost• striving to meet production goals with fewer and less skilled workers• seeking to take the hassles out of packaging If your job performance is measured by getting cases out the door, or your operators have more important things to focus on than tending to adhesives issues, or if an inexperienced operator is making mistakes that lead to downtime, then EASY-PAC could be right for you. Your financial team also benefits from EASY-PAC. When you agree to use EASY-PAC adhesive exclusively on your line, all the equipment is free. In addition, you should see bottom line improvements when your parts replacement, maintenance and downtime costs virtually disappear. Providing lowest cost in use If you are buying your current high-temperature adhesive solely on purchase price, you are underestimating your real cost. An average packaging operation spends another 20% to 30% of their adhesive expenditure on replacement parts, not including the downtime costs you incur when your line is stopped.Well, you do not have to worry about that anymore. With cooler, clean-running EASY-PAC, the likelihood of replacing nozzles, hoses and modules due to char is dramatically reduced. And, for complete peace of mind, our three year guarantee on replacement parts eliminates this cost from your business. Employees benefits from EASY-PAC EASY-PAC is a self-contained, closed system that keeps the work area clean and safe for your employees. It contains a fully integrated Autofill vacuum feed system that automatically fills and replenishes the hot melt unit with EASY-PAC adhesive. The Autofill vacuum feed system creates a closed system, removing the risk of glue splashes causing burns and removing fumes that can make the workplace unpleasant. National Adhesives pioneered the concept of low application temperature hot melts with the invention of COOL-MELT™ 130°C adhesives. Now, with EASY-PAC we have lowered the safety bar again with a 90°C hot melt that further reduces the risk of severe burn injuries. Industry experience and testing have shown that, in case of accidents, burn severity is greatly reduced with the lower application temperature hot melt. And with the non-charring EASY-PAC system, employees have limited or no exposure to hot nozzles and guns during maintenance operations. Think of it this way: at 90°C, it is possible that the hot melt is actually lower in temperature than that cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea.
