With this in mind, Mondi Packaging’s Consumer Flexibles division is making significant new investments in its business in Hungary. At Mondi Packaging Békéscsaba this includes investments in a new production hall the enlargement of the warehouse as well as the modernising of machinery, the improvement of printing capabilities and the implementation of a new ERP System.

The building of the new production hall and the enlargement of the warehouse have already commenced and will be finalised in the first quarter of 2008. The modernised machinery, which will use advanced technology, will substantially increase the production capacity of the Békéscsaba operation as well as enabling it to enhance printing quality. To support the new investments a new highly skilled team has been put in place.

And he concluded that “following the successful certifications according to ISO14001:2004, ISO9001:2000 and HACCP, we are currently implementing BRC/IoP - a high European standard for food packaging hygiene”.
