OXYGEN PERMEATION INSTRUMENTS
OX-TRAN® Model 2/21- Oxygen Permeation Rate Testing
Detects and measures extremely small amounts of oxygen as it passes through barrier materials such as plastics and composites used in all forms of packaging (flat films and finished packages). OX-TRAN systems enable you to measure the effects of temperature and relative humidity on high-barrier films and packages. Using a patented sensor, this system provides parts-per-billion sensitivity even in the presence of water vapor. It is designed to measure high transmission rates for fresh-cut produce packaging applications.
OX-TRAN® Model 2/61-Oxygen Transmission Rate Test System
Is the most recent addition in permeation test systems for measuring oxygen transmission rates of barrier films and packages. The OX-TRAN 2/61 detects and measures small amounts of oxygen as it passes through barrier materials such as plastics and composites used in all forms of packaging. Ideal systems for production and QC/QA testing applications. This system incorporates the latest in high-sensitivity sensor design and features 6 test cells for flexibility and speed. Includes precise RH & temperature measurement and control, user selectable sensitivity, package testing capabilities and N.I.S.T. traceable calibration films.
OX-TRAN® Model 702-Oxygen Transmission Rate Test System
The OX-TRAN® Model 702 is the latest innovation in oxygen transmission rate (OTR) oxygen permeability testing, incorporating the finest in technology while setting a new standard for permeation accuracy, throughput and ease-of-use. Test up to seven films or packages in any combination simultaneously. The OX-TRAN® Model 702 complies with ASTM D-3985, F-1927 and F-1307, is certified traceable to NIST and is CFR21 Part 11 compliant.
WATER VAPOR PERMEATION INSTRUMENTS
PERMATRAN-W® Model 3/33-Water Vapor Transmission Rate Test System
PERMATRAN-W® Model 3/33 is a water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) testing system designed to assess barrier materials used in packaging applications. By testing barrier materials for WVTR under a range of conditions, these systems enable you to select the best packaging material, at the best cost. The data assures that product shelf-life and certain packaging characteristics will be met when introduced to the market.
PERMATRAN-W® Model 3/61-Water Vapor Permeation Test System
Is the most recent addition in permeation test systems for measuring water vapor transmission rates of barrier films and packages. The Permatran-W® Model 3/61 was designed to provide you with fast, accurate answers for all of your packaging needs. Ideal for production and QC/QA testing applications. Includes precise RH and temperature measurement and control, user selectable sensitivity, package testing capabilities and N.I.S.T. traceable calibration films.
PERMATRAN-W® Model 398-Water Vapor Permeation Test System
The PERMATRAN-W® Model 398 is a simple, low maintenance system that conforms to the new ASTM Standard E-398 and produces the accurate and reliable data the industry has come to expect only from MOCON. The low-cost Model 398 is designed for medium to high barriers and allows for two films to be tested independently. Each test cell has its own sensor, assuring greater throughput with accurate results. Because the Model 398 provides for precise relative humidity testing, two films may be tested simultaneously at two different RH conditions.
PERMATRAN-W® Model 101K-Water Vapor Permeation Test System
Is the new permeation test system for measuring high transmission water vapor in moisture barriers. Ideal system for measuring water vapor in such material such as nonwovens, fabrics, textiles, breathable membranes, plastic films and paper. The Permatran-W® Model 101K permits testing of up to six samples simultaneously in a single-system module. Other features of this computer controlled system include: sample test time in minutes, precise temperature measurement control, automatic flow and barometric pressure correction.
PERMATRAN-W® Model 700-Water Vapor Permeation Test System
The PERMATRAN-W® Model 700 is the latest innovation in permeation and Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR) testing, incorporating the finest in technology while setting a new standard for accuracy, throughput and ease of use.
Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR) Testing Made Easy
The simple design is ideal for quality control as well as permeation and Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR) research and development, the PERMATRAN-W® Model 700 incorporates a handy QuickStart feature allowing an operator to begin testing with only four clicks of the mouse! Security features to protect critical testing set-ups and control multiple-user situations are standard.
Reliable MVTR, WVTR and Permeation Testing
The Model 700 complies with ASTM F-1249 and Tappi T-557, is certified traceable to NIST and is CFR21 Part 11 compliant. These plus optional validation services, certification services, service contracts and use of only the highest quality components ensure you will meet all regulatory requirements and that you can trust the results on which your critical business decisions are made.
CARBON DIOXIDE PERMEATION INSTRUMENTS
PERMATRAN-C® Model 4/41-Carbon Dioxide Permeation Test System
PERMATRAN-C® Model 4/41 is a carbon dioxide (CO2) transmission rate test system for assessing barrier films and package materials. The PERMATRAN-C® Model 4/41 is ideally suited for rapidly predicting product shelf-life, or checking the quality of incoming and outgoing packaging materials. These results aid in structure development and prevent costly over packaging. The PERMATRAN-C Model 4/41`s perform tests directly at ``real world`` temperature and CO2 levels.
PERMATRAN-C™ Model 10-Carbon Dioxide Permeation Test System
Fast and accurate verification of carbonated beverage shelf-life is now possible via the Permatran-C Model 10. This instrument measures the carbon-dioxide transmission rate of individual plastic carbonated beverage bottles. The non-destructive test takes as little as 3 hours to produce results. The Permatran-C Model 10 will graphically display projected shelf life, based on a user-specified loss limit, in a matter of hours.
