The new C 400 TC simplifies validation for manufacturers of medical products: This  vacuum chamber machine has a temperature-regulated seal bar.

Chamber machines normally have an impulse seal, but for many types of medical packaging an even higher degree of control over the sealing process is required. That is why Multivac offers the C 400 TC with thermo control, a temperature-regulated sealing system. “Of course a validation program can also be made for Multivac chamber machines with impulse seals,“ stresses Ingo Renner, Product Manager for Chamber Machines. “But the temperature-regulated seal system enables an even higher degree of control over the sealing process. This makes validation easier and above all much more precise.“

Multivac had already implemented the new technology on the C 500 TC double chamber machine for a large supplier of medical devices in the US. With the C 400 TC, it is now available on a single chamber machine. “These special chamber machines use the same temperature-regulated heating mechanism as our thermoformers and traysealers“ explains Ingo Renner, “and they reach an extremely high seal quality, which is also repeatable.“

The machines reach a maximum vacuum of 1 millibar – low enough for an extremely low residual oxygen level. The packs can then be filled with nitrogen suitable for medical use. The machine also boasts highly modern IPC controls, which are standard on Multivac thermoformers and traysealers. The  touchscreen display on a pivoted arm can be used with a web terminal, enabling production data to be loaded.
