Independent Can recently underwent an American Institute of Baking (AIB) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Food Safety Audit and received a rating of Excellent.

Conducted in accordance with the AIB's Consolidated Standards for Food-Contact Packaging Manufacturing Facilities the audit included a comprehensive evaluation of the company's:

- Food Safety program
- Management Systems
- Pest Control Program
- Operational Methods and Personnel Practices
- Maintenance for Food Safety
- Cleaning Practices
