The Log-ic Electronic Content Monitor is a low-cost active RFID sensor. Shipments of refrigerated goods can be ``tagged`` with Log-ic ECM tags capable of monitoring temperatures in refrigerated shipping environments.
These tags can be kept in inventory in a power conserving sleep mode until they are required. A simple push button system activates the tag to begin monitoring the contents of a refrigerated package. The tags are capable of receiving programmable temperature thresholds via 2 way RFID communication. In the event of a temperature excursion (for example, greater than 10 minutes exposure to more than 8 degrees Celsius) the tag is programmed to display a warning light to the end user that an excursion point has been reached. IMC`s Log-ic ECM system offers attractive price-performance options ranging from inexpensive, disposable tags to re-usable specialty tags. |
