One very important requisite is integrity packaging whether the company is producing a blister pack, vial, ampoule or pre-filled syringes. There are many different leak testing methods and leak testing machines on the market including the Bonfiglioli range, however it is the first time that the market will be presented with this solution to leak test pre-filled syringes.

High standard nested syringe filling machines have been developed to automatically fill and seal pre-sterilized nests which contain 100 syringes, however leak testing is the only guarantee for both end user and manufacturer. An investment in a leak tester may be lifesaving for the end user and probably as life saving for the company distributing the medicine who wants to avoid serious recalls which result in expensive court cases, the whole process of collecting the product and more important the reputation of the company.

The new leak tester (LF-SY) will be the first one ever on the market. The machine can be customized to the requirements of the client. The nest containing the syringes is fed into the machine. Each individual syringe will be 100% tested and the faulty syringes will be automatically removed from the nest by a pick and place system. The output may reach up to 6 nests per minute.

The machine is fully computerised utilising a SCADA platform. The software is easy to operate and includes utilities such as a products database, Statistical reports etc. A printer is also installed for printing test results and parameters.  Laboratory semi-automatic models are also available. All necessary validation documents are available.
