Easy Open Ends
- Processed Foods
- Sea Foods
- Beverages
- Dry Foods
- Snacks
We are the second largest worldwide producer of Easy Open ends for food products, with an annual volume of over 7 billion units. These are available in the largest range of shapes and sizes in the world, in both steel and aluminium.
Our continuing investment in plant, process control and R&D enables Impress Easy Open ends to lead the way in ease of opening, which we measure constantly against competitive products. At the same time special design features, many of them patented, ensure that our ends are resistant to abuse during production and transport, and enable foods to be processed and delivered safely to consumers.
Impress ends are typically electro-coated after forming to give them excellent protection particularly in areas difficult to reach through conventional spray coating. This enhances protection against corrosion throughout processing and shelf life.
By design innovation and process control, we have been able to reduce metal thicknesses and simultaneously improve performance, both in processing and ease of opening. All ends are tested in-line before leaving our factories to ensure optimum performance for both customers and consumers alike.
Pourable Ends
- Evaporated Milk
- Toppings
- Pourable Sauces
Through careful design of the size and shape of the aperture, Impress pourable ends allow the consumer to serve the liquid contents of the can cleanly, without splashing and drip. The resulting package is convenient and easy to use.
These ends are fully processable and are applied under standard seaming conditions. Pourable ends can be printed or embossed with a product logo to lend distinctiveness and reinforce brand image.
Other Ends
Over many years of development, new materials and design improvements have meant that sanitary ends have been down gauged without compromising quality and performance. Stacking profiles have been improved to ensure stability in running high speed lines.
Ends are available in most sizes in tin-free steel as well as tin plate. Printing is available and adds impact on the shelf as well as conveying product or promotional information. Simple end designs have been used in composite can production and lever lids and innovative closure systems have been developed for paint cans and other specialized uses. Specially designed ends for aerosols are capable of maintaining high internal pressures within the can.
