Quality in Impress
Impress` philosophy of Quality Management covers all products and segments and incorporates specific standards in plants serving the food industry.
Can and component manufacturing processes are carefully controlled in order to satisfy the needs and expectations of our customers. Impress Food Packaging Quality Guidelines provide a written reference for all plants, a framework for self-assessment and guidelines for customer qualification projects. Many of our plants use Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) disciplines to ensure that our products and manufacturing practices meet the most demanding standards.
A focused approach to Quality is applied throughout the Supply Chain, from raw materials, through all stages of production, to finished goods and components.
Food Safety & Hygiene
Within facilities supplying to food processors, Food Safety and Hygiene standards are applied with HACCP being used to identify and analyze Critical Control Points and necessary remedial actions. All materials are traceable from source to finished product which means that recall procedures can be used to identify and trace materials within 24 hours.
Standards in factories and warehouses prevent contamination of components and finished products with actions being taken to prevent contamination by glass, plastics and other hard objects. FDA approved materials and machine lubricants are used where ever there is a risk of food contact. Routine pest control is in place and monitored for each site. Policies and instructions are in place to govern personal hygiene standards which meet food production criteria. Internal housekeeping and hygiene audits are carried out on a regular basis. These internal rules also apply to any sub-contractors working within our facilities.
