Job Description:

Responsibilities:

- Initiating and developing a flexible, economically and environmentally sustainable European network of composites businesses to promote activities to influence EU decision making

- Setting up the organisational and administration structures for EuCIA under the umbrella of EuPC

- Managing the organisation on a day to day basis, reporting directly to the board

- Contact with relevant entities in EU institutions

- Representing the organisation in relevant industry committees

- Attending relevant conferences, trade fairs, exhibitions or events and making presentations on behalf of EuCIA.

Qualities and experiences:

- A University degree or equivalent experience with age between 30 - 40 years
- A technical background on chemicals policies with experience of economics or vice-versa
- Experience in either the plastics or plastics composites industry
- Fluency in English and a good working knowledge of other two European languages will be an asset
- Have a strong affinity for European organisations
- Have a sound grasp of the operation of the EU institutions
- Be a team player
- Have good communications and networking skills
- A willingness to set-up an innovative body
- An entrepreneurial character

The Group Manager would be based at our office in Brussels and will be accountable to our Board of Directors. There will be opportunities for travel in Europe to our projects.
