Global Closure Systems (GCS), a leading worldwide supplier of plastic and metal closing and dispensing systems, announces today that it has appointed Christian Tang-Jespersen as president of its Asia Pacific operations.   Tang-Jespersen will lead an expansion of GCS beyond its current positions in Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and China.

Tang-Jespersen joins GCS from the Danish communication headset manufacturer GN Store Nord A/S, where he was the senior vice president of its Asia Pacific division. Before his appointment in Asia, he was responsible for building the Global OEM business in GN, creating strategic partnerships with a number of the world’s largest handset manufacturers. Prior to this, he held a variety of senior business development and legal roles. Trained as a lawyer, Tang-Jespersen brings with him extensive experience of international business acquisition, as well as commercial and market development.

Tang-Jespersen, who joins GCS on 1st November 2007, will be based in Singapore.
