About Us

Products often look alike. The quality of your product is higher than that of the competition but does the consumer know this too? The consumer is often led by the packaging and the printing on the packaging. The packaging transforms your product into a visible product that is in high demand.
Your product deserves the attention of Eshuis.

Eshuis prints striking packaging in all types of shapes, dimensions and materials. We select the best, least expensive and fastest printing technology for each and every product, without compromising quality. This guarantees that your packaging is right, attractive and also practical.

We make use of versatile and innovative technology. We do not bother you with any technical details.

Mock Ups

We produce realistic sample packages to be used by marketers, for example, product presentations, (consumer) research, market presentations or commercial shoots. The design and product concept can, in this case, be assessed for a single print run.

The main advantage of mock-ups is that the risk of mistakes further in the production process can be limited to a minimum. A mock-up can, for example, be used when shooting a commercial long before the actual production of the product is started.
The digital information of the mock-up can later be used for the final packaging.

In-Mould Labels

In-mould labels are used for plastic packaging. All types of shapes and sizes are possible. This means items such as small containers, buckets, cups, flasks, bottles or even crates.

This type of packaging is used for food products such as butter, ice cream, sauces and salads. This type of packaging is often stored in a cold and humid environment. In-mould packaging is used more often for other applications.

After the injection-moulding process, the printed label is placed on the outside of the mould. The label and the plastic mould are then closed into a heated space. Heat and high pressure unite the plastic mould and the label into a single unit.

The mould and the label together form a unit that is extremely suitable for enduring identification. The unit is also very resistant to cleaning with a high-pressure spraying pistol, to the car-wash process and to cleaning products and various chemical substances.
In-mould labeling is a perfect alternative for self-adhesive labels and it has a very good price/quality ratio.

Eshuis can use the digital and offset printing methods for in-mould labels (depending on the volume of the print run). This combination allows Eshuis to offer you a very wide range of printing options!

Cheese Labels

You make the cheese............We make the labels!

Eshuis is the only company that specializes in digital printing on silk paper for cheese labels and banderoles.

Our well-equipped studio converts your creative ideas into a digital file. We can copy and digitalize a label printed using the flexo printing method without requiring the delivery of a digital file.

The printing is always using four colours and white. A 60-lines grid is used instead of the rough grid used for the flexo printing method.

Prior to printing the run you will receive a sample on silk paper, on the silk paper that corresponds with your order: 21 grams, 18 grams or 15 grams.

The banderoles are printed on rolls with a standard 400 meters length. Printing on material with a diameter of 70 up to 470 millimeters is not a problem at Eshuis. This applies even to print runs which you order in a single series: From 1 copy to 40.000 copies.

Shrink sleeves are always the right size!

The market for shrink sleeves is increasing rapidly and is ousting the more traditional self-adhesive market of labels and wrappings. A sleeve provides opportunities for new types of packaging. A shrink sleeve adopts the shape of the product, whatever it may be. Sleeves make your product stand out. The product should always attract attention.

- Why Use Shrink Sleeves?
- To have top quality printing
- To give a product three-dimensional characteristics
- To be able to add a window
- To have a variety of graphical options
- To provide optimum protection of the printed image through reverse printing
- To protect the glass surface of bottles and jars
- To reduce the level of noise on a bottling or filling line
- To have 100% fixation of the sleeve, even under extreme wet conditions.
- To reduce the splattering of glass when broken

Pouches Foil

Laminates are important within the market of flexible packaging materials. Eshuis produces large quantities of laminates. One of the most important applications of laminates is pouches.

The Eshuis pouches are used in the following market segments:

- Seed improvement industry
- Dried soups and sauces
- Spices and herbs
- Cosmetics
- Pharmaceutical and veterinary industry
- Chemical industry
- Single-portion packaging
- Dairy products

Self-Adhesive Labels

The consumer is often led by the packaging and the label as it is the calling card for your product. The label creates expectations. It brings your product to the attention of consumers and ensures it is bought: it deserves a lot of attention.

- A list of label options:
Glue side printing: The layer of glue is printed in no more than one colour (for example, for promotional labels).
- Hot stamp printing: Applying silver-coloured or gold-coloured foil. This gives the label a classy look.
- Cheese wrappers
- Lamination: Transparent self-adhesive foil over a label for protection and shine.
- Ground paper printing: Printing a die stain for the automatic processing of labels through application equipment.
- Screen printing: Masking, highly colourfast colours and a long life span, used for hazardous product triangles.
- Label numbering.
- Multiple layer labels (piggyback)

Packaging

Eshuis has more than four printing technologies at its disposal, i.e. UV flexo, UV offset; digital offset and UV screen printing.

We use the technology to give your product an attractive look. Eshuis is bound to quality for what concerns self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging.
Your product ensconced to look natural. Ready to go!

UV Offset

The feature of offset printing is that there is nearly no difference in height between the pressing and the non-pressing parts on the aluminum pressing plate.

In order to produce a good printout, water as well as ink is required during the printing process. The water used during printing is called the fountain solution. The printing procedure consists of the principle that the two liquids that are used, ink and fountain solution, cannot mix but actually repel each other. The surface of the ready-for-use printing plate consists of two sections, the pressing and the wetting parts.

The pressing section does not attract much wetting agent (fountain solution) but it attracts the ink. The wetting part attracts so much moisture that it forms a closed layer because of which these parts do not attract any more ink. A very sharp printout is produced using the correct balance of the ink and the fountain solution.

Offset printing uses an indirect printing procedure. The printing ink is not transferred directly from the printing plate to the printing material but it is transferred through a rubber transfer cylinder onto the printing material.

The ink and the fountain solutions are applied to the printing plate through a set of rollers which ensure an even yield of ink and fountain solution. The printing plate transports the ink and the small amount of moisture to the rubber cloth cylinder. The cylinder prints the image onto the printing material. The ink is applied once on the printing material and is then dried using special UV lamps. The advantage of these inks is the very fast drying time and the fact that no hazardous solvents are required. No more than eight colours can be printed using the UV offset printing method using printing material of a relatively high quality starting at a thickness of 25 microns.

UV Flexo Printing

Flexo printing is a printing method based on the high pressure principle.

The "image" on the printing plate is raised when compared to the "non-image" section. The "image" is what will be printed on the paper, for example, text or an image. Ink rollers apply ink on the raised "image". The way in which the ink is applied is comparable to inking a stamp. Next, the printing plate on which the ink was applied is printed on the printing material. The printing plate is a flexible plate made of photopolymer.

Eshuis prints no more than seven colours using the UV flexo method. The product is nearly always finished in-line to produce the end product when printing labels. The complete line consists of printing, die stamping, cutting and winding in a single work process.

These inks contain a solvent and were dried using hot air. Nowadays only UV inks are used. These inks are dried using UV lamps and do not contain solvents. Printing using UV inks has greatly increased the quality of the product. Since 2000 the flexo printing plates have been produced digitally.

That enables Eshuis to print lighter hues as well. The digital plate also ensures an improved reproducibility. Eshuis can match the quality of printed labels using offset printing since the development of the Computer To Plate (CTP) technology.

Digital Printing

An important development for Eshuis is the digital printing of labels and flexible packaging. Digital printing presses are especially interesting for small- and medium-sized runs.

The advantages are low costs, high quality and no unnecessary loss of basic materials.
Eshuis has four digital printing presses at its disposal. Two printing presses are used for the digital printing of labels. The third press is used specifically to print flexible packaging. The fourth press is dedicated to printing silk paper for cheese labels.

No films or plates are required. The printing press contains a photosensitive plate that is exposed again and printed with every rotation.

Screen Printing

The advantages of screen printing are that the colours are highly colourfast (discolouration takes a long time), the resistance against external influences (chemical, weather, etc.) and the powerful colouring of the ink layer when applied thickly.

Screen printing is applied in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. It is also used to print the warning triangles for the blind. This is a triangle that is applied to hazardous products; it is similar to Braille in that it can be felt. Screen printing can also be combined with flexo printing for a single label.
