Corvaglia Mould
Corvaglia Mould is a highly profitable closure designer and mould maker for plastic closures for the liquid refreshment beverage sector, grew out of Kellenberger Ltd. (founded in 1987), well-known tool/mould maker in North Switzerland. The current President and owner Romeo Corvaglia joined the company in 1993 with his design and development department. Today, Corvaglia AG is the world leading company for liquid refreshment beverages plastic closures design, mould development and mould manufacturing with a world market share of 20%. Big global players like Coca Cola, Danone, Nestlé and Pepsi Cola must have reasons to rely on a fairly small Swiss company. Indeed they do, because Corvaglia moulds are ahead in design and technology. We offer to our customers cost leadership and cover the whole range from 26mm up to 60mm plastic closures.
Corvaglia Closures
In 2003, an important expansion strategy was being launched. Corvaglia decided to go a step further and expand vertically in order to enter into the interesting market of closure production. Actually, Corvaglia Closure business runs two production sites. The first one, Corvaglia Closures Ixtlahuaca, Mexico, produces plastic closures for the Mexican market and the surrounding areas. This USD 7 million investment was started up on July 24th, 2004 and already produces above 1 billion closures a year. Corvaglia’s first European plant was started up in August 2005 and focuses at the beginning on production of sports caps and wide mouth closures. Other production sites in Europe and the Americas will follow. The strength of of Corvaglia Closures is the integration of the whole process chain from the design of the closure, the development and construction of the moulds, the production of the closures until the best of class customer service under one roof. Global coverage is already set up by the means of a well established partner network.
