Rondo’s company philosophy is also being applied to its Czech subsidiary company Rondo AG sent out an invitation to the inauguration of its subsidiary company Rondo obaly s.r.o. on 5 September. The guests were welcomed to the site of the new Czech factory in Ejpovice, near Pilsen, and were able to view the ultra-modern production facilities and see Rondo’s comprehensive company philosophy in action.

“Expansion into the Czech Republic is a major strategic step for us”, explained Dr. Markus Staub, managing director of the Swiss company Rondo AG, Allschwil, at the inauguration of the new Rondo obaly s.r.o. factory in Ejpovice/Czech Republic, in front of numerous invited guests. He continued: “Because from Ejpovice it will be possible to open up not only the Czech market but the market for the whole of eastern Europe.”

The guests – mostly customers of Rondo AG and Dividella AG, plus future potential customers and representatives of local communities – were greeted by Dr. Markus Staub and by Gerhard Breu. In the presence of the chairman of the Körber board, Dr. Werner Redeker, the CEO of Körber Medipak AG, briefly provided information about Körber AG’s excellent position in the market and the strategy of the individual companies which form part of this division.

Folding cartons Rondo obaly s.r.o. is a fully-owned subsidiary of Rondo AG. This is apparent not only from the name, but also from the company philosophy which is being applied in the Czech factory, following the example of the Swiss parent company: just like Rondo AG in Switzerland, Rondo obaly s.r.o. assigns top priority to the criteria of security, quality and innovation in the production of folding cartons for pharma and cosmetic products. Dr. Markus Staub also underlined this point in his speech: “On the basis of the experience which we have acquired as exhibitors at and visitors to many different eastern European trade fairs, our factory will be the first in eastern Europe to produce pharma folding cartons in accordance with GMP standards using western European benchmark criteria. Certainly there are companies which are also working to GMP standards in eastern Europe, but those production methods do not match up to the stringent GMP yardsticks which we apply in western Europe. It is very important for us that you, our most welcome guests, can see for yourselves, on the spot, the quality and security criteria which we value so much here in our factory in Ejpovice too.”

This introduction to the new Czech factory and the subsequent tour of the company was intended to create transparency and strengthen customers’ confidence in the new factory. “Thanks to our experienced works manager, Jörg Oswald, and his highly trained team, we are able here in Ejpovice also to produce standard folding cartons of the customary Rondo quality on the latest production facilities”, concluded Dr. Markus Staub.

On its site in Allschwil, Rondo wishes to concentrate even more on the production of special products, such as NeoWallets and BoxWallets.
