New Biodegradable Self Adhesive Labels Are the Clear Alternative to Petrochemical Derived Label Substrates

Goldcrest, the leading innovator of self-adhesive labels have perfected the print capability for a specialist range of plastic alternative label materials, ideally suited for the food and drinks market.

Available in white as well as clear for “no look” labels, the new face material uses poly-lactic acid derived from renewable bio-sources as opposed to the usual oil based plastics. The result is a biodegradable film which can comply with DIN EN 13432, that is inherently safe for use in contact with food and gives the application properties and product appeal of conventional plastics.
