Brussels, 23-24 March, Sheraton Hotel, Exchange views and experiences with people from the Blow Moulding sector and reap business opportunities in a professional and informal environment –these were the objectives of the 3rd European Blow Moulding Conference, organised by the European Plastics Converters (EuPC) in Brussels and the Federatie NRK (the Dutch Rubber & Plastics Federation) as well as IK Industrieverband Kunststoffverpackungen e.V. (the Industry Association for Plastic Packaging as German federal association).

EuPC’s Honorary President, Marcel de Botton, welcomed the guests on the first day underlining the overall objective to defend and promote the interests of the European plastics converting industry. Speakers from the entire blow moulding industry reported about their markets, new polymeric material and additives. Machines and processing techniques as well as environmental aspects were discussed by almost 50 experts, scientists from universities and public officials who came together in Brussels on 23 and 24 March.

Some important information was given concerning the Automotive World, where the substitution of steal with plastics based fuel systems is significant. On the polyolefin market converters act global – the Middle East and Asia determine the dynamic in a global market.
