Chad Thompson is the Corporate Package Manager for UPS Professional Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS. Prior to accepting the position with UPS Professional Services, Chad was a Corporate Packaging Engineer for UPS. His other assignments at UPS include Region Packaging Engineer, National Account Manager, Account Executive and Preload Supervisor.

Chad graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a BS in Industrial Technology and a Minor in Packaging. He is on the Cal Poly Packaging Advisor Board, Chairperson for the ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) Technical Steering Committee, Vice-Chairperson for ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) D-10 Division II, and a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) by IoPP (Institute of Packaging Professionals). Chad has been published in a number of different packaging publications and is a frequent speaker at packaging conferences across the country.
