Synopsis

Research from The Freedonia Group confirms that the type of packages used for pharmaceuticals is decidedly shifting to blisters (see Table) at above-average growth rates. As the health care industry embraces unit-dose in the U.S., drug companies struggle with making the shift. Even with so many positives, blister packaging also presents many challenges.
