RFID technology is used on individual products transformed by Vicaima. All the products contain a tag or RFID label that is printed and codified at the production lines, allowing a bigger flexibility and efficiency at production control level, being integrated online with Vicaima ERP.
At the production lines the reading process is fully automatic allowing validation of all the products being produced resulting on enormous reduction of human intervention. In logistic terms, in a small period of time and without margin of error it’s possible to detect any product that is necessary to be moved between warehouses or deliver to clients.
Productivity grows and potential errors elimination are clearly the great benefits of this solution. On subsequent phases other logistic processes of Vicaima Group will be optimized, widening RFID technology advantages to the rest of the supply chain.
