The Small and Medium Industries Development Corp (SMIDEC) has tied up with Tesco Stores (M) Sdn Bhd and Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LKWUCT) to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) improve their packaging and branding.
“Tesco will provide the market access with Limkokwing University contributing the expertise on design and branding,” SMIDEC chief executive officer Datuk Hafsah Hashim said after officiating the Brand Transformation Forum 2008 on Tuesday.
About 55 SMEs will be participating in the pilot programme.
SMIDEC is in the process of developing a national mark to denote assurance of quality and excellence for SME products and services.
The mark would show that the products and services had undergone a stringent audit exercise, Hafsah said. – Bernama |
