FreshCard reduces and maintains oxygen levels within food packaging to less than 0.01 percent, which is significantly lower than that achieved with traditional packaging techniques like vacuum, back or gas flushing.  Its oxygen scavenging properties are particularly beneficial to organic and natural foods that do not include BHA, BHT, sulfur dioxide, sorbates, benzoates, and other food additives.By controlling oxidative chemical reactions, FreshCard enables food products to retain their natural color, flavor, and nutritive content while inhibiting growth of most spoilage organisms.

FreshCard units are conveniently dispensed into individual food packages, providing each item with a scaffold-like support backing that can be cut and sized for each customized application.  A unique manufacturing process gives the cards an extremely flat profile with the active material bonded within the multilayer card structure.  Comprised entirely of food contact materials, FreshCard is an ideal platform for promotional opportunities, and can be printed on either side in up to four colors, allowing the package to convey marketing, nutritional, or recipe information.
