BERICAP do Brasil was awarded today the prestigious Embanews 2007 Award, for the GALILEO II closure, in its vinegar version.  The Award, which follows the same format of the French Salon d’Emballage Award, is presented to those companies which have introduced innovations in packaging solutions in the previous year.  The GALILEO II closure was selected by CASTELO ALIMENTOS to enhance the contemporary look of its new bottle.  The translucency of the overcap, combined with the functional reactive hinge and the unique 4-hole, jet-spraying, dosing solution, first time introduced to the market in Brasil, was recognized by the judging commission resulting in the award.  The 26/21 neck-finish, allowing 1,3 g PET savings per bottle was the toping of the cake.
