Steve Smith is a native of New Zealand and moved to the US in 1991 to establish the local office of an Australian software company. Before joining his friend (and now business partner) Peter Renton in the early years of Lightning Labels, he spent 30 years in the Information Technology industry. He saw an exciting and logical relationship between his technology background and digital printing, and enjoys being at the cutting edge of this burgeoning industry.

Steve's primary role as President of Lightning Labels is to lead the growth of the company and manage the operational aspects of the business. He thrives on challenge and has been instrumental in building Lightning Labels to be one of the most widely recognized and respected players in the digital label printing segment.
