GAO RFID Asset Tracking (http://www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) now offers a Gen 2 RFID reader/writer with an integrated antenna and a second antenna port enabling dual antenna applications. The 2-port solution is a cost effective alternative to a typical four port reader. GAO also offers “portals” that directly connect to these high level readers providing a turnkey 'portal solution' ideal for warehouses and manufacturing facilities.
The reader’s electronics and a high-performance, circularly polarized antenna both reside in a single package that results in a simple, inexpensive and low profile RFID installation. Its small footprint uses less than half the real-estate of a typical reader and antenna system.
Power over Ethernet (POE) capability allows power to be delivered over properly-equipped local area networks, eliminating expensive AC wiring installation. A standard AC/DC power converter is provided if POE is not available.
“When it comes to RFID projects we find that no two are alike,” says Ed Rucels of GAO RFID. “This compact and high integrated two antenna RFID reader provides the granularity of solution that some of our customers require”. |
