Co-editor of Wiley Encyclopedia of Packaging Technology, 2nd edition. Kenneth Marsh has spent the last 30 plus years improving the quality and distribution of food and pharmaceutical products through use of barrier technology and tighter adherence to a systems approach to distribution. He developed computer programs to predict shelf life by combining product and packaging information into a time prediction model. He then moved into the international arena with programs to enhance trade and profitability.
Dr. Marsh is a Fellow of both the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP). He is a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP). He was the first holder of the first endowed professorship in packaging science in the US (Cryovac Chair), and has numerous publications. He is co-editor of the Wiley Encyclopedia of Packaging Technology, 2nd edition. Kenneth Marsh is currently working to reduce global hunger through improved food distribution via seminars, publications and participation in activities such as National Academy of Sciences subcommittee to develop emergency relief rations and the World Food Summit five years later (Rome, 2002).
