Fluorescent Readable, Glass Marking, High Resolution Ethanol, UV Curing, and Large Character Marking Inks

Jetstream FR-Fluorescent Readable Marking Inks

JetStream FR Series of inks are solvent based products for use in deflected drop (continuous) ink jet printers. The inks are formulated to be read under illumination by Ultra Violet light, when the full impact of their formulation becomes apparent.

JetStream FRS 2203 (Orange)
This ink is based on a combination of low volatility organic solvents and is formulated for marking porous surfaces such as paper and cardboard. The ink contains a blend of dyes that are activated by long wave UV to produce a bright orange fluorescence in the range of 600-650 nanmeters which can easily be distinguished from the typical optical brighteners used in stationery such as letters and envelopes.

JetStream FRK 4207 (Magenta)
JetStream FRK 9201 (Clear / Invisible)

These inks are very fast drying ketone based inks and have good adhesion and abrasion properties on a range of substrates from paper / board through to metals and plastics. Corona or flame treatment will improve adhesion to polyolefins.

FRK 9201, can be used for discrete or security marking where a non-visible code may be required.

Under illumination by Ultra Violet light in the range 340-380nm, the chief fluorescence of these inks is at 430nm. FRK 4207also has a fluorescent magenta emission in the region 630-660nm.

Jetstream GM-Glass Marking Inks

JetStream GM ink is a ketone solvent based product for use in deflected drop (continuous) ink jet printers. The ink is formulated to give an intense black print with excellent adhesion to a variety of plastics, metals and especially glass.

JetStream GMK 7244 (Black)

This ink is based on MEK, providing extremely fast dry times typically less than 0.5 seconds depending on ambient conditions.

The ink is formulated to give exceptionally high quality drop formation, allowing accurate drop placement needed in small (micro) printing or bar coding applications.

Jetstream HRE-High Resolution Ethanol Inks

Jetstream HRE inks are alcohol based inks suitable for use in most deflected drop continuous ink jet printers.   The low odour of these inks makes it suitable for use in most environments, but especially those where lack of smell/taint is important.

The most important and distinguishing characteristic of these inks is their use of SunJet "Drop Enhancement Technology". The special formulation means that the printed drops hold together on non-porous substrates unlike other ethanol inks, which spread out. The drops remain small and sharp and have the appearance and therefore print quality of MEK inks - but are ketone-free.

JetStream HRE 7243 (Black)

This ink is an ethanol, dye based, ink which is resistant to steam sterilisation. The ink will adhere to paper, board, many plastics (such as polystyrene, polyester, ABS etc) and metals - it has exceptional print quality on non-porous substrates due to the "Drop Enhancement Technology".

JetStream HRE 7304 (Black)

The use of ethanol as solvent and carbon black pigment makes HRE 7304 an Environmentally Friendly ink, containing no heavy metal.

Being based on carbon black pigment, this ink is lightfast.   HRE 7304 is suitable for many substrates, including paper/board, many plastics (e.g. polystyrene, polyester, ABS etc) and metals - it has exceptional print quality on non-porous substrates due to "Drop Enhancement Technology".

Jetstream PCU -UV Curing Piezo Drop-On-Demand Coding Inks

JetStream PCU inks are a series of acrylate based UV-curing products optimised for use most coding and marking printers employing Piezo Drop-on-Demand print heads. The inks particularly find application in product identification and in outer case coding and decoration. The products are intended for jetting through piezo DOD printheads at elevated temperatures. The inks have been developed to have good adhesion to a wide range of substrates and especially many plastics, including, ABS, acrylic and polycarbonate and some metals. Adhesion to olefinic plastics such as polyethylene and polypropylene can be achieved after adequate surface treatment.

All pigments are lightfast with a Blue Wool Scale rating of 7+, giving them use in outdoor applications.

Crystal PCU 4604 (Magenta)
Crystal PCU 5587 (Cyan)
Crystal PCU 7592 (Black)

Jetstream LC-Large Character Marking Inks

JetStream LC inks are designed for use in solenoid valve type Large Character inkjet printers. The LC series of inks adhere well to both porous and non-porous surfaces including waxed, coated or varnished papers and boards, many plastics such as polystyrene, polyesters, ABS and metals. The Ketone ink LCK 7607 can also be used on polyolefins.

JetStream LCW 3601 (Red)
JetStream LCW 5601 (Blue)
JetStream LCW 6601 (Green)
JetStream LCW 7606 (Black)

These inks have very low odour being water based, and are formulated to produce fast drying, quality, crisp edged printing onto porous surfaces.

JetStream LCE 5602 (Blue)
JetStream LCE 7605 (Black)

The above inks are ethanol based and are also suitable for use in most large character printers. Being alcohol based, they too have low odour, making them suitable for use when there may be a sensitivity to smell or taint. The LCE inks have fast drying characteristics that make them suitable for printing on to both porous and non-porous substrates in most environments.

JetStream LCK 7607 (Black)

This ink is MEK based and suitable for use in some large character printers. Being ketone based, this ink is very fast drying making it particularly suitable for print on to non-porous substrates particularly plastics and metals.

The adhesion of LCK 7207 can be further improved on polyethylene and polypropylene by flame or corona substrate treatment.
