Thermoforming Machines
Multivac thermoforming machines are the ideal choice for fully automatic packaging of food products, various industrial and consumer products and sterile medical products. The package molds are formed from a lower web by heat and pressure, and loaded manually or automatically on the machine. After that the packages are evacuated and backflushed with modified atmosphere (if required), hermetically sealed to an upper web, separated, channelised and removed.

Recently Multivac has introduced a new generation of thermoforming machines. The machines feature a completely new hygienic design that is consistently optimized for sanitation. Thus the cleaning process is accelerated and simplified, and more control about the ensurance of a hygienic machine state is achieved with less effort and costs. This principle has also been engineered into the interior parts of the machine, e.g. the new patented open design of chain and chain guide which allows for the easy removal of contaminants, without the need for disassembling the chain. Further developments in terms of design engineering and functions allow for increased process security and efficiency. All thermoformers described in the following are part of this new generation.
Every product has a pack that is specifically designed for its particular application: with a vacuum or a modified atmosphere, made from rigid or flexible film or an aluminum-based material combination, in the required shape, with an opening aid, a reclosure facility, coding etc.
Every machine is designed and manufactured to meet the specific needs of the individual user, so that it can be integrated smoothly into the production process. There are six basic product lines:
