At the IFFA Exhibition in Frankfurt- Germany, visitors experience how to improve performance now and over time at the CFS stand in Hall 8. Focus is on the daily operational challenges of meat processors: variety and flexibility, cost per kg / per pack, food safety and environment. And how to translate this in the right products & packs. This is shown every hour in a catwalk show visualising the impact on productivity, yield, efficiency, distribution, fixed costs, people and HACCP / SSOP. Exhibits include innovative solutions for peeling sausages, a dust-free production environment, clean oil management, fat analysis, the new CFS PowerPakNT thermo-former and CFS CostFox, a software tool that visualises equipment performance real-time.

Extended shelf life and higher profitability

Pâté that is manually cut after cooking prior to being packed is a way of the past! Made with a fully automatic processing and assembly line, CFS offers customers a potential cost savings up to 20% along with improved hygiene and reduced downtime during product changes. This post pack pasteurisation process is also positively influenced by the perfect performance of the CFS heat treatable packaging films throughout packaging, cooking, cooling and finally the selling process of the product. With reduced manual handling, product losses and energy consumption, in combination with an amazing 6-month shelf life and improved hygiene, this is a remarkable solution to improve performance and bottom line profits.

Hole in the Wall – Producing trays for a fixed cost

With the Hole in the Wall concept, CFS delivers a complete packaging line solution for a guaranteed price per pack. With this system, food producers won't have to purchase trays from an outside source. Instead, trays are produced on CFS machines in the food producer’s factory. The “Hole in the Wall” concept provides significant cost savings up to 20%, helps reduce the complexity of operations and the transportation costs [film reels instead of preformed trays]. This not only helps the bottom line but also creates a positive impact on the environment.

Hands free packed and fat free produced coated products

Food producers request more healthy food and these days, fat reduction in products is one of the most important subjects. CFS introduces a new process, allowing production of crumb-coated products without using conventional oil frying - a completely different way to produce high quality products with a fat reduction up to 40% to 60%. Combined the introduction of CFS RobotLoader, it is possible to generate a higher output and reduce operating costs while minimizing waste and package giveaway resulting in a reduced cost per pack. This complete line is demonstrated at the Technology Centre in Bakel, The Netherlands during IFFA.

Sliced Packs – Still Profitable

Suppliers of sliced packs today all face the same challenges. Retail prices go down, raw material prices go up and the question is: what about the profit? At retail prices of € 2,50 for 1 Kg of sliced product, only the highest productivity, efficiency and yields will enable success. CFS supports with processes, solutions and products to achieve these results. The flexible CFS slicing and packaging system provides an output of more than 20 tons/shift with two operators through automatic casing removal to fully automatic packaging; at highest efficiency and with 0% give-away.

Case Ready – 500 grams, nothing more, nothing less

The CFS total minced meat production concept helps food producers minimize product return cost and offer the lowest possible give away in the market. The CFS ContiGrind system ensures a consistent and correct portion each and every time. Another cost driver is the right fat content. A fat content below the proper target leads to higher product cost, where as a fat content above the proper target leads to inferior quality.

As both of these scenarios have a negative influence on profitability, CFS has developed MasterTrack to ensure the right fat content every time, nothing more, nothing less. The process starts with the right preparation, which keeps the quality in the meat, followed by the most accurate portioning system till the final packaging including the final protection by CFS materials.
