Hydralign web guiding provides a balanced system approach to automatic material alignment. Our complete line of edge, center, and line guiding systems provide the accuracy and force necessary for automatically controlling the lateral positioning of a web or substrate as it passes through your process. Also available are systems for web width indicating and/or control. All systems feature guaranteed precision, economy and operator free dependability.
WEB GUIDING SYSTEMS FROM HYDRALIGN FOR AUTOMATIC MATERIAL ALIGNMENT
Guiding systems include:
- transversal stand web guiders
- roller displaced guiding systems
- positive displacement guiders
Transversal Stand Web Guiders
Traversing stand web guides Hydralign offers a rugged industrial solution for traversing stand web guiding. Your guiding results are dependent on:
- the selection of the right guiding system
- the proper installation
Roller Displaced Guiding Systems
- S.T.G. Steering Frames: roller displaced steering frames are designed to create both a dynamic and static correction for true intermediate guiding control. The steering guide swings immediately when the material runs out of alignment, positioning the edge of the web back to the neutral point of the sensor. The correcting motion opposes the tendency for the web to wander from the guiding point.
- Single Roller Steering Frames: Incoming and exiting webs must wrap steering roller at 90 degrees. For rigid webs of special applications please call us.
Positive Displacement Guiding Systems
Positive Displacement Guiders (P.D.G.): Butler Automatic`s Positive Displacement Guide is designed for areas of limited space or for control of webs susceptible to wrinkling -- even when processing aluminum foils. P.D.G. uses totally dynamic positioning in correcting web wander. Standard dimensions:
- A = Exit/Entry One times maximum of Web Width.
- B = P.D.G. Roller Span- Two Thirds of Web Width.
- C = Sensor - As close as practical to P.D.G. Exit idler roller without interfering with swing.
Control Units:
All our Guiding systems are available with following controls:
- Electronic
- Pneumatic
- Hydraulic
