Harold G. Clampitt is the CEO and Founder of American RFID Solutions, LLC offering products and knowledge to design, optimize, expand and troubleshoot RFID infrastructure. Built on over twenty years of executive and technical expertise in the Wireless and Telecommunications sectors, the company helps its clients successfully apply RFID using engineering expertise and extreme performance products and tools, collectively referred to as the RFID Tool Belt.

Prior to founding American RFID Solutions LLC, Mr. Clampitt held technology leadership roles in SAFCO Technologies and the Bell system of companies, including Bell Cellular Communications Systems. Positions held included Cellular System Design Engineer, Engineering Manager, Director European Operations, General Manager, Vice President of Engineering, Vice President of Sales and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Clampitt successfully led organizations through start-up, organic growth, mergers and acquisition and joint ventures with companies such as Motorola and Rhode & Schwarz. Noteworthy accomplishments include 42% a year sales growth for over a decade, with record profits culminating in a successful private equity placement of his company. He has created, led and managed P/L centers in Europe, Middle East, Asia, North America and South America. To do this Harold spent three years living abroad learning foreign cultures and international business practices. He used this opportunity to successfully build a team of energetic professionals spanning 14 languages, all time zones and supporting products in over 40 countries. Optimizing ROI in emerging technologies with product half lives ranging from 6 to 36 months are hallmarks of Mr. Clampitt’s career.

Harold Clampitt graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Engineering Science focusing on Electrical Engineering and from the University of Chicago earning a Masters of Business Administration with a specialty in Finance. He is a licensed professional engineer, commercial pilot and avid competitor with championships finishes in the Baja series of sanctioned off-road racing and the National Balloon Federation of America.

Mr. Clampitt has been a distinguished speaker at international events in Beijing, Cannes, Hong Kong, London, Munich, Oxford, Singapore and Sydney. Recently he was a featured speaker at RFID World 2004 and a guest lecturer on RFID at the University of Chicago. He has enjoyed professional recognition with publication of his articles in trade magazines and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
