To determine using benefits, future cost savings, safety and efficiency that quick change part (for machines that require tooling reconfigurations for size, shape or SKU) changes are viable and a requirement for short runs span multiple products line.

A quick change activity program can be made up of:

• Modifications to the machine for tooless adjustment change.
• Modifications to the machine for less change parts and / or adjustment points.
• Quick change parts.
• Improved ergonomics in change out tasks.
• Improved ergonomics and layout of logistics, input and supplies staging and input loading.
• New or improved instructional procedures or CBAs (Current Best Approach).
• Skills training in demonstrated weak areas of mechanical and electrical knowledge and application.
