Biography

Gary began his career as an Industrial Engineer for the B.F. Goodrich Co. in 1974. After four years and several levels within this discipline, he was promoted to Production Department Manager of the company’s Oaks, PA tire plant. In 1985, Gary began his packaging career as Plant Manager for Helvoet Pharma, a supplier of direct contact closures for injectible drugs. Two years later, he took a unique step by becoming the Sales Director responsible for the development of new clients within the pharmaceutical industry. This position required close relationships with major companies working cooperatively on their new product development. In 1995, Gary joined Lumonics Package Coding Group promoting the use of lasers coders within the packaging market place. Since laser coding was still considered a new and developing technology, the position included a considerable amount of time educating the market as to its benefits. When the business was sold to Linx Printing Technologies in 2000, Gary continued in his role as Sales Director promoting laser technology and growing the market share of lasers within the coding industry. He regularly speaks to various trade organizations on the benefits of lasers over other methods of coding technology.
