Biography

Ed Campbell started his career in the plastics industry in 1964 in the expandable polystyrene area and later went on to injection molding and blow molding and followed that by specializing in extrusion blow molding and packaging. Currently he has his own consulting business that he started in 1993. Having started his career at the Plastic Container Division of Continental Can for 12 years, Ed later went to Clorox where he spent 17 years. While at Continental Can, Ed was a technical representative to the Society of Plastic Industry Inc. (SPI), developing recommended practices and standards for the blow molding industry and their customers.

He has worked in such positions as manufacturing management, quality control, research and development, engineering and package design. Ed has 15 patents in the field of blow molding and packaging, and is also listed as a seminar speaker and workshop director for the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP). The title of his seminar is ``Blow Molding, Package Design & Engineering, Concept to Customer``. Ed has presented his seminar to several Fortune 500 companies in the United States, as well as the SPE in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and one company in Panama. Ed is a member of the Consultants Council of the IoPP and registered as a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP). As a forensic scientist, Ed has published four chapters in a book titled, Packaging Forensics, Package Failure in the Courts, published by Lawyers & Judges Publishing Company, Inc. Ed received his Bachelor of Science degree from California State College, California, Pennsylvania (aka, California University).
